Volunteer to Help the Oakland LGBTQ+ Community Center
Build Out Alliance’s San Francisco Bay group is partnering with TurnOutVolunteers to support the Oakland LGBTQ+ Community Center. We are looking for volunteers to help with setup for the event, working the registration table, providing help as waitstaff, or helping with event breakdown. Volunteers should join the fun and wear their best “disco” inspire outfits! Volunteers will receive a free meal during the volunteer event, and can enjoy the festivities when not helping out with the event.
The Oakland LGBTQ+ Community Center relies on the generous donations of their benefactors and community. Their Annual Gala is a primary funding event in which they raise much needed funding to support the many critically needed services they offer to the community.
This year’s Gala, Boogie Wonderland, is a disco-themed event that will be held on Saturday, November 12, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at the historic California Ballroom in downtown Oakland. The event will feature dinner, drinks, drag performances, an awards ceremony, best dressed contest, a DJ, dancing, and more!
