Join Build Out Alliance on a beautiful fall Saturday to enjoy the foliage of Harriman State Park. Tie on those hiking boots, pack a lunch and snacks, and plenty of water. The hike will be about three hours and is considered an intermediate level due to some moderate inclines.
Where to Meet & How to Get There
We will meet at the Tuxedo Station in Tuxedo, New York, at 10:30AM on Saturday, October 22, 2022. The station is accessible through driving and by train. From here, the group will travel to the trailhead and begin the day’s adventure.
For those traveling by train, the train leaves on NJ Transit via the Port Jervis Line. The ideal train departs at 9:14AM from NY Penn Station, requires a change at Secaucus Junction, and arrives at the Tuxedo Train Station at 10:29AM.
After the Hike & Getting Home
Following the day’s hike, we will host a tailgate at the Train Station for those who wish to participate. It will be fun to relax following the activity and get to know more people from Build Out Alliance.
For those taking the train back to New York City, there is a 4:20PM train from Tuxedo Tran Station on the Port Jervis train line, with a change at Secaucus Junction, and an arrival at NY Penn Station at 5:36pm.
What if there’s inclement weather?
The hike will be weather dependent. We’ll monitor the forecast that week and send notice of a rain date or cancellation as soon as we have that update.
Still have questions?
If you still have questions about the hike or are not sure if it’s right for you, give a shout out to Matt Hyde at mhyde@buildoutalliance.org and he’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
