New York City
Where it all began as the vision of a few individuals, we’ve been in the Big Apple since our founding in 2017.
Upcoming Events
One of the best ways to connect is by joining us at an upcoming event.
How It All Began
We can trace our origins to New York City, one of the largest centers for the design, construction, and real estate industries. Like most great ideas, Build Out Alliance started over a happy hour when several industry colleagues decided to create a group that would give a voice to the queer community across professions. Since its humble beginnings in 2017, the New York City group has impacted more than 3,000 people.
Our City Leader
Martin Scott
Martin joined Build Out Alliance after witnessing firsthand the discrimination faced by queer professionals in the workplace. Passionate about creating environments where everyone can bring their true selves to work, Martin has spent the last five years leading educational initiatives that empower our community and educate the industry. As New York City Chair, he’s excited to continue building strong connections within the city, fostering inclusivity, and advocating for change. Martin believes that by working together, we can make the industry a place where everyone can thrive.
