Our Purpose

We strive to build a platform of acceptance, connection, and empowerment across the design, construction, and real estate industries.

Build Out Alliance is here to shake up the construction industry and make it a place where everyone can be themselves. We work tirelessly to make sure that the LGBTQ+ community is not just accepted but celebrated within the building design and construction industry. We're made up of passionate individuals who believe in creating a working environment that celebrates diversity and inclusion. We also reach out to the community at large, working together to build a future where everyone can work with pride.

Things have come a long way in the last decade when it comes to inclusivity in the industry, but we're not there yet. We know that too many people still feel they have to hide who they are at work. And let's be real, the construction site isn't always the most accepting place. That's where we come in. We're all about promoting an industry where everyone can be proud and open about who they are. We're made up of folks from every corner of the industry - from small local firms to global giants.

Our vision? An industry where everyone is welcomed, where opportunities are equal, and where professional networks are truly inclusive.

Connect

We believe in the power of community. We create networking opportunities and cultivate strong relationships within and beyond our industry. We envision a supportive network where queer professionals can share experiences, learn from each other, and build meaningful connections.

Empower

We are dedicated to uplifting queer professionals in our industry. Through mentorship and career-building programs, we aim to equip individuals with the tools and confidence to grow in their careers and navigate any challenges they may encounter.

Advocate

We relentlessly champion the rights and interests of queer professionals, working to shape an industry that values inclusion and equality. We are committed to raising awareness about the issues faced by the queer community within our industry and driving positive change.
