About The Book

Times Square Red, Times Square Blue is a compelling blend of memoir and social critique that chronicles the transformation of Times Square from a hub of queer social life into a sanitized, corporate-controlled space. Through personal narratives and cultural analysis, Delany sheds light on the marginalized communities that once thrived in the heart of New York City, offering a poignant reflection on the intersections of desire, urban development, and the erasure of queer spaces.
