Mentorship Opportunity with Columbia QSAPP Students

Become a Mentor to a Columbia QSAPP Student!

Build Out Alliance and the Queer Students of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation (QSAPP) at Columbia University have long-standing mentorship program. And, we’re looking for mentors to join us!

If you are interested in mentoring a QSAPP student, please take a few moments to complete the form linked here by Monday, October 24th at 6:00pm. Any and all LGBTQ+ professionals within the building design and construction community are welcome to apply. We’ll review the information you provide and match you with a student.

How it Works

As a mentor, we look to people who will encourage professional development for LGBTQ+ people, who will create a welcoming networking environment for diverse identities, who will learn and engage in knowledge transfer, and who will support each one another’s development and growth.

After completing the application form, we will share responses with QSAPP students and match each mentor with a mentee. The structure and check-in frequencies will be entirely up to the pairing. We will host a kick-off event to bring everyone together and celebrate the start of the program.
