Shayne is a San Francisco-based architectural historian and historic preservation planner specializing in LGBTQ+ cultural heritage. She co-authored the citywide Citywide Historic Context Statement for LGBTQ History in San Francisco and has dedicated her career to documenting and preserving marginalized heritage sites across the Bay Area. As a leading expert on San Francisco's queer historic sites, Shayne brings unmatched expertise on the architectural, legal, and social history of the Tenderloin.
