Our San Francisco Bay Area group is teaming up with ULI San Francisco for "Celebration, Conversation, & Pride!" to kickoff Pride Month over happy hour, connections, and a few surprises.

This immersive event is designed to connect the queer and ally community across the design, construction, and real estate industry through powerful dialogue. Get ready for thought-provoking conversations within a unique theater-in-the-round setting that includes discussion prompts and audience participation. This is your chance to build meaningful relationships, gain fresh perspectives, and play an active role in shaping a more equitable future for our industry.

Tickets for this event will sell out fast, so be sure to grab yours before they run out. Small bites and limited open bar available with each ticket, and signature cocktails available ofr additional purchase onsite. Walk-ins will not be allowed.

 

The Evening's Agenda

  • 5:30pm-6:30pm PT :: Doors Open & Networking
    Grab a drink, find some delicious food, and connect with fellow industry folks.

  • 6:30pm-7:30pm PT :: Discussion In-The-Round
    Settle into unique theater-in-the-round discussions and guided conversations.

  • 7:30pm-8:30pm PT :: Informal Networking
    End the evening with some informal networking among your new friends.

Our Facilitators

Robert Gilson, Architect, YA studio

Robert is an advocate for inclusive design and community development. He is an active volunteer with Build Out Alliance and serves as co-chair of the Professional Programming Committee, where he helps shape professional development initiatives that promote learning, growth, and connection within the LGBTQ+ AEC community. Through both his professional and volunteer work, Robert champions equitable access to opportunities and advancement across the industry.

Quinlin Messenger, Founder & Director, JUST Design

Quinlin brings a powerful perspective rooted in his diverse heritage, making him uniquely suited to guide conversations on design justice and equity. His work focuses on healing, empowerment, and inclusive design, and his skilled facilitation will create a safe and engaging space for attendees to connect, share, and build lasting allyship through thoughtful, participatory dialogue.

Monica Way, Associate Principal, Strategic Growth & Communications, Studio MLA

With a background in landscape architecture and a career dedicated to advancing equity and sustainability, Monica offers a keen insight into how design, policy, and practice intersect to shape just cities. As a talented communicator, she will guide conversations on LGBTQ+ history, inclusivity, and equity in real estate, fostering authentic networking and empowering attendees to help build a more inclusive and equitable built environment.
