About The Project
The Douglass is a 743,000-square-foot mixed-use building in Washington, DC's Bridge District. It is adding757 residential units at the Capitol Riverfront, including 78 affordable units and 42,000 square feet of retail space. This anchor project is the largest multifamily housing development in the world to pursue Zero Carbon Certification from the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) in addition to achieving LEED Platinum certification. Key features include an all-electric building and mechanical system, 100% power from renewable sources supported by a rooftop solar array producing 200 MWh annually, and over 15% of EV-ready parking spaces.
