Join our Greater Los Angeles group for an engaging panel discussion focused on the growth and success of LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) in the design, construction, real estate, and related industries. This event offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from industry leaders as they share their experiences in establishing and expanding ERGs that foster inclusive, supportive work environments. Attendees will walk away with actionable strategies for professional growth, plus the chance to connect with peers and experts over refreshments in a welcoming and vibrant atmosphere. Whether you're a queer professional, an ally, or someone interested in workplace inclusivity, this event is designed to empower and inspire.

About Our Panelists

Stephanie Gady, ARUP

Leading Arup's LGBTQ+ ERG in Los Angeles, Stephanie collaborates across teams to enhance equity and inclusion throughout the firm. As a sustainability consultant with recent academic experience from Stanford, she brings a fresh perspective on leveraging queer identity to promote diverse workplaces. Stephanie will share insights on using ERGs as tools to cultivate inclusive cultures that benefit both employees and organizations.

Daniel Ondercin, Henderson Engineers

As a leader of Henderson Engineers’ LGBTQ+ ERG and an active member of its DEI Council, Daniel brings expertise in integrating DEI values into business strategies and daily operations. His work shaping internal culture and external communications ensures authenticity and creativity thrive. Daniel will share actionable insights on building meaningful ERG programs and keeping DEI values front and center. 

Abraham Carrillo, HDR Inc.

With over a decade of experience leading diversity initiatives, Abraham spearheads HDR’s efforts to embed inclusion into its core operations. His expertise in creating environments where people feel empowered and belong makes him a valuable voice on ERG impact. Abraham will offer practical guidance on fostering company cultures that sustain and grow LGBTQ+ employee groups.

Matt Barnard, Degenkolb Engineers

A committed mentor and leader, Matt advises the LGBTQ+ ERG and empowers others to achieve personal and professional growth. Drawing from years of mentorship and leadership experience, he offers practical tools for fostering belonging within workplace communities. His insights on mentorship and personal purpose will help attendees develop strategies to grow ERGs and empower their members. 

About Our Moderator

Mischa Haramia, Henderson Engineers

With 35+ years in the industry, Mischa channels her passion for DEI through active advocacy and community work. As a member of Build Out Alliance’s advocacy committee and The Laurel Foundation's board, she offers deep insights into advancing DEI across industries. Mischa’s perspective on building inclusive spaces will inspire attendees to foster impactful change within their own organizations.
