Join us for an insightful panel discussion that tackles the intersection of LGBTQ+ mental health and professional life within the industry. This event is designed to bring DEI leaders and a legal expert together to explore how to create more inclusive and supportive workplace environments. Against the backdrop of increasing anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and traditional diversity challenges in our fields, this panel aims to provide valuable knowledge and inspiration for fostering a culture where everyone can thrive. Attendees will gain new perspectives on LGBTQ+ mental health, learn actionable strategies for promoting inclusivity, and connect with peers committed to driving positive change in their organizations.

    Following brief introductions, the moderated panel will share their thoughts and insights.

  • 7:30pm-8:30pm :: Q&A and Networking
    The event will conclude with the opportunity for questions, as well as some networking.

About Our Panelists

Anjali Mathai, Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, HLW

A Licensed Social Worker and DEI Champion, Anjali is committed to enhancing workplace inclusivity and mental health. Through her Equity Pillar initiatives and DEI programs, she offers practical strategies and deep insights into creating supportive environments where everyone is seen, heard, and valued.

Mike Iovinelli, Design Director, HLW

A dedicated DEI advocate and a prominent member of the LGBTQ community, mike co-created HLW's global Pecha Kucha initiative, fostering a safe and inclusive space for team members. He brings invaluable insights on creating inclusive environments and promoting LGBTQ mental health in professional settings.

Shannon Rodriguez, HR Director, FXCollaborative

A passionate advocate for diversity and inclusion, Shannon has been instrumental in implementing LGBTQ-supportive policies at FXCollaborative. She offers expertise on establishing employee resource groups and specialized training, contributing to a safer and more affirming work environment.

Ruth Ro, Principal, Dattner Architects

Ruth is a prominent advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion. She spearheaded her firm’s EDI Committee and is involved in DEI efforts of her local community in Montclair, New Jersey. Ruth brings her expertise in fostering inclusive workplace cultures and equitable design practices to the panel discussion.
