The "How To" Guide for LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Groups

  • Gilbane Building Company 88 Pine Street New York, NY, 10005 United States (map)

Build Out Alliance invites you to join a panel of guest speakers who will be discussing their firm's LGBTQ+ Employee Resource Groups (ERG) and what steps they took to establish these groups and get them to where they are today. ERGs are voluntary, employee-led groups made up of individuals who join together based on a common background, identity or demographic.

LGBTQ+ ERGs play an important role in the advocacy and support of LGBTQ+ individuals within the AEC industry. They provide a forum to recognize and raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues both within their firm and the wider industry as well as encourage LGBTQ+ employees to be proud of their identities in the work place. Our panelists represent a wide spectrum of the industry, ranging in different disciplines, company sizes, and at varying stages of the development of their ERGs.

The event will be hosted by Gilbane, and will conclude with a Q&A and be followed by a networking component where you will have the opportunity to meet our speakers, as well as others from a wide array of AEC companies.
